LOW FIRE - GENERAL PURPOSE GLAZE

LOW FIRE - GENERAL PURPOSE GLAZE
Ref: CW320-10 		10 litre (2.64 US gallons) bucket of transparent general purpose leadless low fire glaze.

Formulated for Ceramic Cafes in the Italian style.
Fast drying, smooth, non powdery when dry.

Best firing range 1000 to 1100 Degrees Celcius.
Approximately cone 06 to 02.
Best test is Bullers ring size 3 to 12. Bullers rings available below.
Soak for 1 hour to achieve a very shiny finish.
Burns clear and smooth over black.

Dip with a fast smooth action.
Shake a few times over the dipping bucket to remove excess glaze.
Hold till glaze stops moving then place on bench to dry.
Glaze has a relatively fast drying time - Dries in less than 2 minutes.
Items can be fired immediately after dipping.

The most accurate way to measure kiln firing temperature.

These rings are placed inside the kiln and fired.

Send the fired ring to Bisque UK and we shall measure the size giving you an accurate reading for the heat work performed inside your kiln.

Each kiln and controller will vary. Setting the controller temperature does not guarantee the actual heat being applied to your fired work.

These rings are like Orton cones but far more accurate. They will indicate how far under or over the desired heat work you are.

Before firing the Bullers rings are very very fragile, handle with extreme care.
